How it works with Corestone
All officers are SIA-licensed and vetted to BS 7858. Because they work alongside our maintenance and cleaning teams, they notice things — a door that won't latch, a light out in the car park — and log them before they become a problem.

How we deliver it
The list above is what you buy. This is what actually happens on your site.
Officers are licensed and vetted before deployment
SIA licence checked against the public register, and screening to BS 7858 covering five years of employment history, references and right to work. No officer attends site before that is complete.
Assignment instructions are site-specific
Written for your building, not copied from a template: patrol routes, escalation contacts, what to do about the fire panel, which door sticks. Reviewed with you and updated when the site changes.
Patrols are evidenced
Officers log checkpoints, incidents and observations through the shift. You see the patrol record and the incident log in the portal rather than taking it on trust.
Officers report faults, not just incidents
An officer who walks a building every night knows what has changed. Because they raise jobs into the same helpdesk our engineers work from, a failed lock or a dead car park light becomes a job that night.
Cover is planned, not scrambled
Rostering is done against a named team with trained relief. Chronic reliance on agency cover is where guarding contracts fail, and it shows up first in the small hours.
Where this usually applies
The same service is specified differently depending on the building. These are the sectors where it comes up most.
Industrial & logistics
Dock levellers, roller shutters, yard lighting and 24-hour security for sites that never stop moving. Reactive response measured in hours, not days.Offices & business parks
Multi-let estates where tenants judge the landlord by the state of the car park. We run the common parts and the helpdesk tenants actually call.Retail & leisure
Out-of-hours cleaning, presentation standards and fast fixes so a broken auto-door never costs you a trading day.Healthcare
Infection-control cleaning standards, HTM-compliant maintenance and security teams trained for clinical settings.
Questions we get asked
Are your officers directly employed?
Yes. Directly employed officers are how we keep the same faces on your site and control response times we've committed to. It also means training, vetting and conduct are ours to answer for.
What is BS 7858 screening?
It is the British Standard for security screening of individuals in environments where the safety of people, goods or property is at risk. In practice it means verified identity and right to work, a five-year employment and education history with gaps accounted for, references taken up, and a criminal record check where the role requires it.
Can you cover a site at short notice?
Usually, from the local relief team — but we will tell you honestly if we cannot resource a post properly rather than sending someone who has never seen the building. Short-notice cover with no site familiarisation is worse than no cover for most estates.
Do you monitor CCTV yourselves?
We maintain and manage CCTV and access control systems, and where remote monitoring is required we arrange it through an accredited monitoring centre. Recorded footage handling follows your data retention policy and UK GDPR obligations.
Tell us about your buildings.
A contracts manager will come out, walk the sites and give you a written report. No charge, no commitment.
